Diego is a managing partner in Metrotax Modern Accountants & Advisors, a boutique tax firm with office in Tyson's Corner, Virginia. The focus of Diego Hinojosa's practice is taxpayer representation before Internal Revenue Service and state Departments of Revenue Services. Mr. Hinojosa has an extensive experience resolving IRS examinations, collection cases, installment agreements, offers in compromise, requests for collection due process hearings, CAP appeals, tax liens, bank garnishments, tax levies, private letter rulings, and requests for innocent spouse relief. Mr. Hinojosa has also resolved numerous administrative appeals before the IRS Office of Appeals.
As an enrolled agent (E.A) Diego is a federally authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and who is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels—examination, collection, and appeals—of the Internal Revenue Service.
